SUMMARY OF SPECIFICATIONS:

MARSHALL PUBLIC SCHOOLS – Will accept bids for upcoming2014 Summer Projects. Projects include renovation of wood, metal and welding shop areas, A/C and venting units and upgrades to IT closets and computer labs at Elementary schoolsas well as scope related to the bleacher scope previously bid. Bidding documents will be available publically onMonday, April 7, 2014. A Pre-bid meeting is scheduled for Wednesday April 9, 2014 at 3:00pm local time in the High School Cafeteria/Gymnasium at 701 N Marshall Ave, Marshall, MI 49068. Sealed bids will be received on Monday, April 21, 2014 at 3:00 pm local time to the attention of Scott Blankinship, Director of Business Operations for Marshall Public Schools, 100 E. Green St., Marshall, MI 49068. They will be opened and publicly read aloud in the Middle School Community Room at 100 E. Green St. directly afterward. Late bids will not be accepted (after the 3:00 pm cut-off).  All proposals shall be accompanied by a Sworn and notarized statement disclosing any familial relationship (or lack of relationship) that exists between the owner or any employee of the bidder and any member of the Board of Education of the Marshall Public Schools or the Superintendent of the District. The cost of Performance, Labor and Material Bondsmust be included within the contractor’s base bid price in all packages in excess of $50,000. Separately to the PLM Bond, bidders of ALL major bid packages shall supply, with their proposal, proof of their ability to bond work. This proof shall be in the form of a bid bond in the amount of 5% of the quoted price. The District WILL NOT accept a bid that does not include; a sworn and notarized disclosure statement, a Bid Bond and/or that is submitted after the specified date and time.  Wages for this work ARE covered by the prevailing wage law. For information and bidding documents, call Jessica Roe at CSM Group (269)746-5600.
