SUMMARY OF SPECIFICATIONS:

Marshall Public Schools will accept bids for asbestos removal in Marshall High School and Marshall Middle School. A pre-bid walk-through is scheduled for Monday, May 7th, 2012 at 3:30 PM. The walk through will begin in front of the Principal’s office at the Marshall High School, 701 N. Marshall Ave., Marshall, MI 49068. Sealed bids are due by 3:30 PM local time, Monday, May 14th, 2012 at 3:30 PM to the attention of Scott Blankinship, Director of Business Operations for Marshall Public Schools, 100 E. Green St., Marshall, MI 49068. The District WILL NOT accept bids submitted after 3:30 PM, Monday, May 14, 2012. All complete, timely received bids will be opened and read aloud at a public meeting to begin at 3:35 PM, Monday, May 14, 2012 and held in the Marshall Public Schools Learning Resource Center at 100 E. Green St., Marshall, MI 49068. Bids must include a sworn, notarized statement disclosing any familial relationship that exists between the owner or any employee of the bidder and any member of the Board of Education, or the Superintendent, of the Marshall Public Schools. The District WILL NOT accept bids without a sworn, notarized familial disclosure statement. Bids also must include a bid bond equal to 5% of the quoted price. The District WILL NOT accept bids without a bid bond. The District reserves the right to reject any and or all bids. The bid package will be available on the ATCS webpage (hazardousmaterialsteam.com) for the contractors.
