SUMMARY OF SPECIFICATIONS:

Holland Public Schools Dutch dome Lighting Project 2017 Project 5566 Notice To Bidders Notice to Bidders  Holland Public Schools, Holland, Michigan, will receive proposals from qualified contractors for the Dutch Dome lighting project 2017, located at 870 south Waverly Road, Holland, MI 49423. The owner will enter into one contract with the successful contractor. The General Contractor will be responsible for coordinating all work for the successful completion of the project. Proposals must be mailed or delivered in person to: Brett Roach, Facilities Director, Holland Public Schools Facilities and Maintenance Office, 870 S. Waverly Road, Holland, MI 49423. All proposals must be received prior to 9am, local time, on March, 3, 2017. This will be a Public bid opening. Evaluation of the proposals and award will be at a later date; the successful contractor(s) will receive a letter of intent prior to receipt of contract. The schedule of work shall be as follows: February 17, 2017 Out for bid March 3, 2017 Bids due @ 9:00am March 3, 2017 Post bid interviews if needed March 20, 2017 Award of Contract July 24-August 4 installation date All bidders are required to furnish Bid Security in the amount of (5%) percent of the base bid. Form of security may be a bid bond, certified or cashier’s check made payable to Holland Public Schools. This will be a guarantee that the bidder selection by Holland Public Schools will furnish the required PLM Bonds; failure to do so could mean forfeiture of the bid security. All bidders must indicate, where shown on the proposal Form, the cost of Performance and Labor and Material Payment bonds covering 100% of the value of the project. Do Not include the cost of the Bonds in the Base bid. All bids shall be accompanied by a sworn statement disclosing any familial relationship that exists between the owner(s) or any employee of the bidder and any member of the Board of Education of the School district or the Superintendent of the School district. The Board of Education shall not accept a bid that does not include a sworn and notarized familial relationship disclosure statement. All bids shall be accompanied by Affidavit of Compliance – Iran Economic Sanctions Act in compliance with “Iran Linked business” within the meaning of the Iran Economic Sanctions Act, Michigan Public Act No. 517 of 2012. The Board of Education shall not accept a bid that does not include the Affidavit of Compliance. Applicable Michigan use and sales tax apply to this project. All bidders should note that this project does NOT require prevailing wage.
