SUMMARY OF SPECIFICATIONS:

Gobles Public School District is soliciting competitive bids for new step risers, handrails, and end rails for the High School gym bleachers located at 409 N. State Street, Gobles, MI 49055. 1. Invitation for Proposals: Sealed bids will be received by mail to Gobles Public Schools, PO Box 412, Gobles, MI 49055 until noon on Thursday, July 13, 2017. Bids should be sent to attention Chris Miller, Director of Facilities. The Board will not consider or accept a bid received after the date and time specified above.  The bid will also be accompanied by a sworn and notarized statement disclosing any familiar relationship that exists between the owner or any employee of the bidder and any member of the Board or the Superintendent of the District. A Board shall not accept a bid that does not include this sworn and notarized disclosure statement.  2. Proposals: Proposals must be submitted in sealed envelopes plainly marked, “High School Gym bleacher Improvements”. Bids will be opened at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at the Gobles High School Office, 409 N. State Street in Gobles, Michigan. *Specific time line for anticipated completion of work must also be stated.  3. Explanation written and orals: A walk through of the Gobles site will be held on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. to identify the areas where the work is expected. Please meet at the front entrance of the High School. Questions prior should be directed to Chris Miller at 269-628-9393. The Board of Education will not be bound by any oral communication.  4. Rejections or Acceptance of Proposal: The Gobles Public Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject and/or all proposals.  5. Repairs to all surface: It is expected that the hired contractor will be responsible for all clean up and repairs to damage resulting from work taken place and must be completed within 2 weeks after the project is completed.  6. Insurance Required: Bidder must have Public Liability, Personnel, and Property Damage to include Automobile and Comprehensive General Liability. Proof must be submitted with bid.  7. Payment: Payment for services will be made after a final walk through is completed between contractor and Director of Facilities.  8. Invoices should be submitted to: Gobles Public Schools, Chris Miller, PO Box 412, Gobles, MI 49055.
